The New Samsung Galaxy A15 and A25: What Sets Them Apart?

The latest additions to Samsung's popular A series, the Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A25, are designed to provide a core smartphone experience at a super budget-friendly price. But what distinguishes these two models from each other?

While we haven't had the chance to test out the Galaxy A15 or A25 yet, we can compare their specifications to help you decide which one best suits your needs. Are the extra features of the A25 worth the higher price tag, or will the affordable A15 suffice?

Both phones are equipped with different processors, with the Galaxy A25 featuring Samsung's Exynos 1280 octa-core processor, offering a choice of 6GB or 8GB of memory and 128GB or 256GB storage options. In contrast, the Galaxy A15 runs on a MediaTek octa-core processor with 4GB memory and 128GB storage.

Both models promise fast performance and ample memory capacity, although we can't confirm their real-world performance just yet. The A25 is expected to outperform the A15, especially with its higher RAM capacity paired with the Exynos 1280 processor.

When it comes to display, both the Samsung Galaxy A15 and A25 boast a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen, promising vivid clarity and optimal outdoor visibility thanks to Samsung's Vision Booster technology. The A25 edges ahead with a maximum brightness of 1000nits and a faster refresh rate of 120Hz compared to the A15's 800nits and 90Hz, respectively.

Camera-wise, both phones feature a 50MP main lens, but the A25 shines with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) for clearer, stable images and videos. The A15 relies on Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS). Both phones offer a total of three rear cameras, including ultrawide and macro lenses, with slightly better specs on the A25.

The Galaxy A15 comes at a more affordable price point, starting at £169 / $199 / €199, while the A25 is priced higher at £249 / $299.99 / €299. The A15 also offers a 5G variant at a slightly higher cost.
